Daw Aye Win

I am a wife, mother, entrepreneur, artist and real estate investor. I love my home country of Myanmar. I was born and raised in Myanmar until I was in 8th grade. I was fortunate enough to grow up abroad and lucky to be educated with a degree in art, business and finance. I have experience helping at community events at schools and monasteries. When I heard about Myanmar in crisis, my heart was broken to see people dying, hurting, and running away from home to neighboring countries. I realized that life is short. We have to help one another. I am committed to help the people of Myanmar. I know that I have enough in me to help as many people as possible. Together we can uplift the people of Myanmar and create a future our Myanmar children can and will thrive in.

Katherine Todd

Myanmar is in her heart, Myanmar's music is in her ears, Myanmar's best future is her greatest hope.

Dr Joe

Myanmar is the motherland where I was born, raised and achieved my medical degree. Currently, I practice as a physician, an entrepreneur and investor in real estate. Giving back to a place you call home has always been in the back of my mind ever since I moved to the United States.  I have been actively and indirectly participating in humanitarian services since May 2008. It was the day when deadly Nargis cyclone hit part of Myanmar and took more than 138,000 people lives overnight at that time. Therefore, I volunteered and became the team leader of rescue mobile team. At that time, I was shocked to see the reality of Myanmar. I realized that the best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something. People of Myanmar have shorter life span due to lack of health and preventative measures. They are unable to step out of poverty from generation to generation due to lack of sustainable education. Today in 2021, people in Myanmar are in serious crisis more than ever due to lack of international help and political unrest. This is the time where all hands join to unite and support the motherland that we love wholeheartedly.

You treat a disease; you win or lose. You treat a person; you win no matter the outcome.

Dr Nway Oo May

As a practicing physician, my heart goes out to the people of Myanmar, who are facing atrocities and crises as we speak. There are no freedom of color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or other status in Myanmar. Only military rules with weapons. I have been learning to enjoy, live and love that freedom in the US since I arrived in the US right after graduating from medical school. My only wish is for my native countryman to have the freedom that I enjoy the most instead of living in fear daily. My life experiences, when I was growing up, of being unable to speak about the truth, politics, religion, etc or only speaking what authority wants to hear to survive, or live is a tragedy that I would not wish upon any other human beings. At the moment, the crisis is very severe to the people of Myanmar and all ethnic people. I would like to contribute my ability and talent to help develop the people of Myanmar to their full potential when the crisis is over. In the meantime, I would like to help the native country that I love so much with everything I can with humanitarian support to the people of Myanmar through HDFM since they are in need so dearly.
